done for my Fiskateers Baker's Dozen (Groovy Deborah's) challenge...hard to incorporate embossing since I had never done it but after a turorial by my good buddy Bri, voila! ...had 13 things we had to use and here's my take:

Sorry pic is not so great and crooked!
Sorry pic is not so great and crooked!
for this quote she had posted on her blog-I've got to do a "Thankful" Challenge layout for this months cc challenge and this will be perfect for the page; I'm hoping to work on it tomorrow and post a pic here on Friday.
Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire,
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations
Because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge
Because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary
Because it means you've made a difference.
It is easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are
also thankful for the setbacks.
GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles
and they can become your blessings.

I've working on a class called
"Stories in Hand", offered for free at www.JessicaSprague.com {can't sign up now though; there was a deadline}. I haven't wrapped the idea of the notebook and the long stories of it all but I plan on sitting down with it tomorrow and giving it an honest shot. Am working on putting the basic book down; used the Cosmo Cricket blackboard and have yet to "dress it up" with embellishments and photos.
Lynn at scrapbook.com tagged me this week so I decided to post in both places.....very interesting questions! HAPPY READING :)

What Cancer Cannot Do
Cancer is so limited...
It cannot cripple love
It cannot shatter hope
It cannot corrode faith
It cannot destroy peace
It cannot kill friendship
It cannot suppress memories
It cannot silence courage
It cannot invade the soul
It cannot steal eternal life
It cannot conquer the spirit.

it's about time!

I thought Tyra & crew were never gonna tell this girl to go home! She started off strong and then got worse and worse as the weeks have gone by...JMO but then I'm still partial to this chick :)

When we have the pizza crusts, the kids have decided that Fridays are "make your own pizza" nights....works for me! Somebody was sick today but that never seems to stop him from eating!

since I wasn't sure if I could post one of her layouts, I'll just direct you to RachelK's gallery at scrapbook.com.... http://www.scrapbook.com/profiles/229351.html or else her blog here http://scrapperachelk.blogspot.com/ She's got some awesome pages and some of them are made just using her scrapbook scraps! Very inspiring! I need to get rid of tons of stuff so my goal for the next 5 layouts are to mix the old & the new and to use tons of scraps. I love how she used her Fiskars trimmers and punches to make different things so I'm inspired again to use the Fiskars goodies I rec'd last weekend and put them to great use!

was a blast...very beautiful town and combine that with candy and scrapbooking and that means FUN! My hat off to Wendy Jo for hosting what I hope is her first of many Fiskars bashes...it was a HUGE success. My favorite thing was meeting new friends and the second was the chocolate tasting with Carl! I don't normally like chocolate but it was nice to learn about chocolate from someone with so much enthusiasm, taste the different varieties {grownup choclate, not that crappy kid stuff} and then get my picture taken with Mr. Reese Cup!
I managed to get 3 pages done at the crop; here's one of them....I've been holding on to these photos for like forever and loved this Scenic Route paper and the embellishments from Me and My Big Ideas so here ya go!

and of course-we had TONS of givewaways; I'm not even sure if I got all of them..no I didn't..we were given adhesive, and more chipboard. I didn't do the make*n*take because I wanted to save that awesome foil chipboard for my Christmas layouts!
