It's a Simple Sunday...

and I'm a bit bummed by the fact that my beloved Baltimore Ravens lost today by 1 point!  But it's been a great Sunday-took the girl shopping this morning, got grocery shopping for the week done and I decided to make the family learn to cook so today, the girl had to do it (97% by herself)...she picked something out of the Wegman's Menu book, we got the ingredients (but not from Wegman's, I'm not going there on a weekend lol !!) and so, it was a success!  She made chicken Parmesan, cesaer salad, and bread-MOM was proud, especially since the only thing I had to teach her was how to cut chicken and explain food safety with the whole wet/dry stations....awesome! The man get his turn later in the week!

So, while she cooked, I got to add finishing touches to some layouts I had been messing with for the last 2 weeks while my mojo was creeping in & out:

and folks that know me know I have a "Strange Burlap Addiction" so, you will see lots of it ! Papers and sticker chipboard are all My Minds Eye, jewels are from Micheal's (Recollections) , trims from my stash, real vintage buttons courtesy of my sister's vintage stash which I plan on raiding again....

How was your weekend ?????

What a lovely layout! Just so you know you are NOT alone with your burlap love! I have several different colors in my stash! I love that stuff!

Oh I wish my daughters were as interested in cooking as much as they are in eating, lol. Great layout and I love the burlap too, just too stingy to use it a lot, lol.
