Scrapping Sunday but no layouts-just a kit!

By kate blue - Sunday, August 13, 2017

I totally  meant to scrap all day today but instead spent the day hanging with Thing 2, doing laundry (it's never ending) and doing some meal prep for the upcoming week....boring stuff but needs to be done...plus, the girl has to move back to the dorm and so I've been getting her supplies and dorm stuff together as well.

I did find time to put a Counterfeit Kit together!  Last month, I put a kit together but life got crazy stressful, along with other things, I was sidelined by shingles (I'm 95% cleared -just a few neuro effects when stress levels have been high) and so I ended up only making about 4 layouts-SAD FACE!  I told myself that this month, I was gonna do better and even though I'm late with my kit, I'm gonna shoot for at least 6 layouts!

Here's their inspiration for August!

July kit from Gossamer Blue-a strange kit for me to counterfeit because it's pretty clean and ya'll know I like mega kits with lots of junk! My take on it was to grab green, orange, yellow and blue papers...

of course when I looked, I really didn't have that much orange or green handy (translation=I was being lazy and purely dug into old stash papers instead of my Paper Issues bag of tricks) but I had LOADS of blue begging to be used!  Added in some mini letters, tags and strips.  I then dug into my unused July CKCB kit and pulled out some misc enamels and bling.  Added in some die cuts and there you have my mini  August kit!

  2. Such a pretty selection of blues in your kit - I really like that typewriter paper. And I have trouble finding oranges in my supplies too.

  5. I like it! Really love all those yellows and blues and the cute embellishments you've added in. Sorry to hear that you're still feeling a bit bad from time to time. Your kits will still be there for you when you have time and energy to use them up in your own inimitable way (i.e. - fabulous!) so take care of yourself and we will be happy when you share!

PS. totally get you on the laundry!!!!
