Believing that
education is the inter-generational transmission of wisdom of the
ancestors, which begins with the original message from the Creator to
speak truth and do justice, The Council of Elders of the Black Community
of Howard County (TCOE) is a circle of men and women elders of African
American or other African lineage. TCOE is rooted in the Nguzo Saba, the
seven principles of Kwanzaa, to advance the well being of African
Americans and other people of African lineage in Howard County.
