It's that time for the Master Forgers at Counterfeitkit Challenge blog Challenge #2!! Show us what makes you happy!!
This is my twin sister, nickname KalaDala... we're fraternal- ying and yang, night and day -She's my caring, compassionate, sweet side and she makes me happy!Show us what you got and as we slide into the 2nd half of March, keep killing your kit!!
Happy New Year! Welcome to 2022, a fresh new year and a new year of making Counterfeit Kits!! For January, we've picked a digital kit from Traci Reed Designs called On the Go and Going Slow.
Fist things that caught my eye: REPETITIVE WORDS, DOTS, STRIPES, SCALLOPS, AND FLORALS
Colors that caught my eye: GREENS, GOLDS or YELLOWS, PINKISH-ORANGES and BLACK and WHITE.
I apologize for not having great pictures of my kit- I'm away from home taking care of a bedridden sick parent and I haven't had a free moment !
But for now, go on over to the DT and GD blogs for real inspiration!

no, not sick like cough cough or sick like mentally insane (although to some I might be!!?) ...but "sick" like in the secondary (urban) definition meaning cool or awesome....For example, "Dude, that party last night was sick; you shoulda been there!" I say sick cause I am up to layout # 6 with my January Counterfeit Kit and I still got some days left in the month to maybe tweak out 2 more creations!!!
Don't talk about how sick I am when I tell you how long I've hoarded lovingly held
on to half of all of the Making Memories Mistletoe collection (Dec 2009ish). I don't normally love whole collections top to bottom -usually the die cuts or the buttons or the stickers will drive me batty) but there have been some exceptions (EP FTR2, LYB Winterings, MME Lost & Found (ALL), and a few more) but everything about this collection just was super awesome-heck, I just realized that I was using washi/ paper tape before it was even popular!
To stretch out my stash even more, I deconstructed the felt shapes.....I'm terrible frugal!
So, I'm up to layout # 6-that's an all-time record for a kit....using the stash continues.......
I keep rededicating myself to using stash...so what better way than to accept some challenges so I can use it quicker? The bff Caryn sent me a page full of artsy challenge links...and so, I got started. Challenge #1 that inspired me was from a new blog- Crafting Marfa....October's challenge is to use stash and to use multiple photos...Here's what I came up with...scrapping some oldies-pictures of Thing 1 in the age BEFORE we had digital cameras :):):):) And to think, 13 years later, she still gives me grief when I take too many pictures !!!
Supplies: (stash)
Supplies: (stash)
- Chipboard: Cosmo Cricket: Togetherness Ready-Set-Chip
- Button: Studio Calico
- dollar store doily
- Chipboard: Crate Paper Story Teller
- Papers: American Crafts Neopolitan collection, Recollections Kraft paper from Michaels
- Thickers: American Crafts
use my stash that is...Jen Priest (one of the previous CSD girls-aka the Hydrangea Hippo) has tons of challenges and inspiration on her blog & one of her February challenges is to dust off those rubons!! We all know we have them and after I actually cleaned the table, straightened the closet and looked around, I found TONS of them; some of them I had bought when Recollections was still in business {I know, I should be ashamed to be such a hoarder.}...anyway, I found this cool distressed one created by Dee Gallimore-Perry for My Minds Eye sitting in a tote waiting to be used...I broke it up in parts and rubbed it everywhere, then combined it with some Quick Quotes, American Crafts and Creative Imaginations rubons for what I thought was a cool page of Thing 2 back when he HAD to wear the hearing aids for insurance purposes even though they didn't work (dumb)....another story....
** I just loved that in this picture, he was FINALLY healthy and such a happy cutie !

Hope everybody had a great V-Day yesterday but since it's still February, let's keep the "love" train thing going on...how about a new Lollipop Girl Challenge?? Hop over to Candy Shoppe Designs and create something sweet (doesn't have to be a Valentine's project, it's all your own interpretation) using this recipe: a picture(s) of your loved one(s), any type of doily, flowers, hearts, lace and the colors pink & red {even a pinch will do!}...
Here's a peek of mine; you'll have to go over to CSD for the whole thang-it's vintage since as you can see Ken & I both had our "natural" black hair {lol} and of course, we CSD chicks always have blog candy-and who doesn't need new scrapping goodies???

We Lollipop Girls would like to thank you all for the love and

Our next challenge is called Cupid's Arrow Challenge and yup, it involves ARROWS!!!!
It's February....V-day is almost here....it's a time for love and roses and chocolates. Well, We Lollipop Girls know something you all don't know. Cupid had an accident and love is being delayed. We couldn't forget about those that will spend the holiday alone this year because of this. So, our first challenge for February will be based around "Cupid's Arrow" to represent all the single ladies that need cupid to hit someone in the butt soon. ;-)
Some of us have found some of the arrows (as you can see here) -I actually found 3 woop woop!!
So, show us your creations for this challenge on the CSD blog !!! It doesn't have to be a layout, but we'd love it if you used some arrows....our sponsor this month is Generations Crafting !!!
Can you say Cosmo Cricket, Glitz (yum!), bling, chipboard and more-you won't be disappointed!! You have until Valentines Day to show us your stuff!!
