playing along with Pencil Lines for their 4th birthday...it definitely has helped me use my stash this week too! And helped me find some stuff that I knew I had but had misplaced. This time, I chose to go with Julie and sketch 41...yup, a multi block sketch....outta the comfort zone again but all for the good :) I actually liked this one AFTER I finished it and may do more of these...again, great way to use small pieces or remnants of stuff you have in the paper and embell stash. Here's the sketch and although I didn't follow it exactly to a T, this is as far as my OCD would let me take it:![]() |
| sorry for the bad scans...there's no sunshine this week! and yeah, the water was really blue AND orange-no photoshop here !! |
remember, Pencil Lines is still celebrating their 4th birthday and since Mr. Mojo is here this week, I'm determined to keep scrapping this summers' pics! I was inspired by the sketch she picked (sketch # 100 by Kelli Crowe) cause I normally DON'T like circles ( I need it square and I need it straight) so it was definitely a challenge....go here for Sasha's take on it; it is absolutely rockin', but then all of her stuff does LOL...and you still have time to join the fun! ![]() |
| my take on the sketch - tfl !!! loved using the Fancy Pants Dilly Dally background along with Jenni Bowlin and gcd papers :) |

and of course made it my own just using one photo instead of two :)
loved using the House of 3 downloads {bikes} !!
am still working hard on being able to use sketches...have no idea why they are so hard for me; I guess it's like a class to me and I hate making cookie-cutter stuff and I hate measuring so that's why I struggle. BUT, I am trying since more and more sketch blogs become popular. Anyway, as part of the Pencil Lines 4th b-day celebration, I was drawn to this sketch # 146 chosen by Sue by the o-so-talented Anna Bowkis:
and decided to use more of my Basic Grey, My Minds Eye and JB stash:
not exact to the sketch but totally inspired by it -Thanks for looking!! Hope you had a great weekend!

can you believe it's only been 4 years of inspiration and tons of talent?? Well, this weekend they are doing it big and their design team has chosen a sketch from the archives, and are sharing with US why they love sketches so much.
On the hour, every hour from 8am GMT, a sketch will be posted along
with a RAK from one of their sponsors. That is a lot of prizes and a lot of
inspiration! HOP over and share the fun!
