While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease- Genesis 8:22
In an effort dubbed "A Billion Acts of Green," Earth Day organizers are encouraging people to observe today by pledging online at act.earthday.org/ to do something small but sustainable in their own lives to improve the planet's health -- from switching to compact fluorescent light bulbs to reducing the use of pesticides and other toxic chemicals. Earth Day aims to inspire awareness of and appreciation for earth's environment. It is currently observed in more than 192 countries around the world. Easy but important ways we can invoke change-Plant a garden, reduce your use of pesticides, recycle as much as you can, eat more local food and support your local farmers markets, reduce your time in the shower (Brianna), help cleanup a local park regularly, plant a tree (or two), reduce food waste by using up the food you already bought and have in your home house instead of buying more-that means you Extreme Couponers !!!. You already paid for it, use it, don't hoard it!
We have to remember it's OUR ENVIRONMENT in order to stop global warming and to reverse environmental destruction. An old Kenyan proverb says, “Treat the Earth well. It was not given to you by your parents. It was loaned to you by your children.” It’s a philosophy with which Ecologic Earth agrees and is doing its best to live each day. I agree!
