you came back?? October already???What?? AND, it's the Fiskars BLOG HOP!!
If you have come from Maya's blog, you are in the right place! For those of you who don't know me, I am Queen Kat, a/k/a Kate, a/k/a Fiskateer # 4529!!
People that know me know that I love notebooks so...I know we all have 8 x8 paper packs that are still lingering in our supply stash with maybe a few pages left right?! In the quest to keep my otherwise messy desk a bit cleaner, I decided to grab some office supply folders, my sewing machine (you can use glue if you want to though), my Fiskars punches and some papers all to make a handy dandy DESK ORGANIZER! That way, I can jot notes and stuff down at my desk without having a million post-it notes lying around & my clutter is contained!
The details are above on on my "desk organizer tab" but as you can see, here's the "before (GO D, gasp now) and then the "after"...yeah, I'm a neat person with the exception of my desk sometimes....it gets crazy when I have filing and scanning all mixed up with my crafty stuff.
I'm only human after all and only prone to OCD only 4 days a week LOL! So, as you can see, my desk is so much better than it used to be! Hope this inspires you to take an hour to craft and to organize your space, big or small....Next on the blog hop is the "orange you lucky you get to meet her", Patti B, a/k/a Paper Patti !
HAVE FUN & REMEMBER TO KEEP CRAFTING!

Good idea about making something to help organize your life. Maybe that should be my next project area after I finish getting everything ready for my daughter's graduation in the spring.
ReplyDeleteNeat idea. My desk looks like yours did 99 percent of the time. Its so hard to keep it clean even after organizing. Is there such thing as an organized crafter?

Hey....did my DH go to your house? That sure looks like what he does to the desk here...LOL. That is fantastic. I think I should try something like that here. Maybe he will put the paper in the folder. Thanks for the great idea.
ReplyDeleteI love you desk organizer! I wish I had your OCD one day a week! Yes, I am someone with what I would call a clean house, but my desk is a different story! I am so happy it is a roll-top, because when I have company, I can roll it closed and hide so much of the mess. Too bad my crafting table doesn't have that same advantage. But, then I guess I am a little OCD in that area, because I usually have to start out with a clean slate to create a new project. Thanks for sharing your fun project and injecting some humor into a part of your life that I can really relate to!
ReplyDeletegreat project! I love using office supplies also!!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute organizer. I sooo need one of these too. I think my desk is the parent of yours because it is puking papers from all over the place :)
