Counterfeiting- Layout of the Day # 1

By kate blue - Monday, January 14, 2013

Oops, I meant CK Layouts ! & 2 !!! But first, l let me give a GNINORMOUS shoutout to my team-THE BALTIMORE RAVENS!!   I double booked myself on Saturday,  booking a crop & forgetting about the playoffs.    Thank goodness I was at the bff's house and we had the game on! It wasn't even planned that only 3 of us who were even interested in football that day are big Ravens fans and we ALL had on  Ed Reed # 20 jerseys!  Thank you Auntie M for blessing of me with such a wonderful gift !!

But I digress....the Counterfeit Kit January challenge is up and the kit I made is {here}...I did manage to get 6 layouts done and I think 4 of them were from the CK.   So, here's 2 of them !
you don't always have to JUST use holiday papers for holiday layouts !!!
the background on this one is from Basic Grey and it is more of a spring paper but I liked it, loved the bird and the layered borders, so I had to use it!

Light colored journaling with a cool green metallic pen from Creative Memories

just a simple, clean layout.....changing up from the normal cluttered style...my daughter says she likes the cluttered style but I'm practicing for submissions so.... loved this cherry October Afternoon washi tape and am using OA papers too, it's my new addiction.  And, I scrapped an "off  balance" photo to show you that the photo "mistakes" (I had pushed the wrong button- too close ) are still scrappable!  It's boring to scrap all the perfect pictures where everyone's looking at ya saying "cheese!"  Don't delete them-SCRAP THEM!

* note: I have a migraine and am going to bed but will add the credit & link for the fantastic free printable feathers in the morning !!!  The wonderful feather printables are from Love Vs. Design- you can click {HERE} and find this printable and more  :)

  1. Oh thanks for the link for those printable feathers! Those are FAB! I have that OA Silver Bells paper in my kit, too! I agree...doesn't just need to be for holiday layouts. Thanks for playing along.

  2. Great advice there to scrap the photo fails too - though I *thought* that was just clever and inventive cropping!!! Two super pages - my fave is the 2nd one with the white space, the feather and that brilliant photo!
