Counterfeits within the Counterfeit....chalkboard alphas!

By kate blue - Thursday, July 18, 2013

I am slowly going through all the DT inspiration and their  July "counterfeits" over at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog...I don't use  A LOT of title work (but I do try) on my layouts, but I did love the American Crafts Charcoal (think chalkboard) Thickers:
I only wanted an ampersand and an "S" for SUMMER  so I just whipped out a piece of black cardstock, my handy dandy white pen, and a stencil...and VOILA!

I will probably do another lift later like Lisa  from Reckinghausen Musings did and get my bff to cut me the alphabets on her Cricut since I don't have any die cut machines and then pen them in myself on an as needed basis...(click on Lisa to see her details)....saved myself $ 5 :):)):) which is what the Counterfeit Kit blog is all about!

  2. I used stamps & then inked - even used a colored cardstock but it still translated as chalk. These look great! Hadn't thought of stencils so now I have a whole new set of chalkboard fonts - thanks!
