I occasionally order kits from kit clubs, but not that often...why do that when you can mix old & new products and make your own kits?? I hang out at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog pretty much 99% of the time so that I'm inspired to counterfeit (lift/copy) my own...This month's kit inspiration comes courtesy of the Button Farm Club and their "Everyday Documented" kit designed by the super talented designer Ms. Vicki Boutin:
So, I looked at it and I'll admit, I'm not fond of pinks but every manufacturer includes it and I just have to add it in to my kits. My takeaways:
So of course my kit ALWAYS starts with lots of papers ! Sorry for the pictures, I always do this stuff wayyy late at night... but I picked some florals, words, repetitive patterns, butterflies and clouds!
So, I looked at it and I'll admit, I'm not fond of pinks but every manufacturer includes it and I just have to add it in to my kits. My takeaways:
- floral prints
- clouds
- repetitive graphics
- pinks, greens, yellows
- butterflies, bicycles, die cuts, words, and arrows
and of course all the embellishments; I'm on a mission to use MORE!
Enamels, florals, washi, sequins, ribbon, die cuts, frames and Feb kit leftovers :)
Paper scraps, hearts, wood veneers and stuff off my desk!
So there's my ginormous kit! Hoping to get at least 20 layouts done with it!
