SOC BLOG HOP!!

By kate blue - Friday, October 10, 2014

HAPPY FRIDAY!! Hey everybody, thanks for joining us for the SOC "Turnt Up for 10" blog hop!
I'm not sure how long I've been a part of the SOC community, but it's AT LEAST been 6 years.  I came across the SOC blog probably a year after I started scrapbooking (8 yrs ago) and I was looking for women of color who scrapbook since it really wasn't saturated in the market/publications.  Google search and VOILA!  Found them! So, they have turned 10 this year-10 years of sharing life, memories, crafting and more! And no, you don't have to be a woman of color to participate, you just gotta love crafting and art :):):):)
The  hop actually started at the SOC BLOG HERE... and then you should've hopped over to me!
SINCE THE SOC BLOG HOP IS now 10, our blog hop is all about celebrations and from 10 bloggers!!  Normally I would scrap all the celebrating I do with the bff1 & bff2, but I decided ya'll get to see that all the time, so I decided to scrap about something that was a big deal for me personally since I really want to try to get serious about some weight loss.  Did my first 5K 2 weeks ago-THE COLOR RUN and it was so much fun!

Next on the blog hop is the sweet CANDY FORD but before you go, how about some blog candy???!!  One lucky crafter will receive an RAK from me-

all you have to do is comment on this post and tell me YOUR favorite celebration/memory you celebrated (doesn't have to be holiday related)** I will pick a winner on lucky 13th!!!

  16. I am a sucker for a colorful layout and yours is over the top! Beautiful! And Congratulations on completing the race -- your smile says it all. My favorite celebration memory is all the family holidays growing up where I now appreciate how much WORK my mother put in to make them so special for us -- the food, the decorations, etc.

  24. Congratz,on your first 5K! I drive to the mailbox, so you are an inspiration to me. I may start walking more. My most memorable event was giving birth to a girl. All my friends and sisterinlaws were pregnant within 3-6 months of each other and they all had girls and I gave birth to the only boy out 7 of us.
