well, the kiddos finally got back to school last week, I've "kinda" started some fall cleaning, it's getting cooler and that means I can turn the a/c off and open the windows (YAY!) AND, it means that I can get back to squeezing some crafty stuff in during the week too!! BUT YOU CAME BY FOR THE BLOG HOP RIGHT ??!!!

I loved creating this Layout of Thing 1 @ Halloween 2008 and I was inspired by her bright makeup, bead colors and of course the theme being "PEACE"...these pics fit perfectly!! And it shows you that Halloween layouts don't "just" have to be black & orange-red & yellow go in there too with no prob...Loved digging in my Cosmo Cricket paper stash and some of the new Authentique's "Glowing" two sided elements for accents.

haven't been blogging or doing challenges this week or last week due to the crazy schedule but I have multi-tasked a slight bit when kids went to bed, I caught up on some of my episodes of "Weeds" and scrapped a bit...just still scrapping my beach getwawy from last month......

and lastly, a layout W/ pic from 2010 vacation. I had originally scrapped this picture a different way and hated the whole thing so I re-did it...I know, most folks don't do that but trust me, it was awful before!

and yes, with all this rain and thunder and lightning, I'm still in my pajamas! It's been the first day where we haven't had anything on the schedule and it truly is a day of rest! I know I've been a bad blogger but forgive me yes??? It's just been crazy with Thing 1 starting high school sports for the 1st time and having 2 x a day practices! Plus, squeezing all the other stuff we do in there made me one serious taxi driver-that is until my car conked out one morning while on my way to pick her up from practice...so, we are down to one car since I didn't have $ 4,300 dollars for a new transmission lying around and most of you already know how hard one car can be when your hubby works in another state! Let's jsut say it's been a serious attempt at juggling magical schedules...hope to fine tune it this week -Calgon take me away!! I'm hoping next week won't be as bad since school is back in session and HOPEFULLY practice will be right after school....so anyway...we're making lemonade outta lemons until we get it together..I do know it could be worse....so no more whining from me!
BUT, I have managed to TRY to clean my studio ( i know, it's a monthly thing...clean up, mess up, clean up ,mess up...) so I can play with paper....I had altered some trays and so loved this one that I just made for my sister (and I hope she will get it in the month of August-I'm allergic to the post office LOL)..she has seen sneaks already so...got these trays from Hobby Lobby ($6 with your coupon!) and papers are (green) vintage gcd studios (green areas are where she's gonna add her own pictures in), (creams) are Webster's Pages and the awesome kraft is from Tim Holtz Idea-ology....beaded heart came from one of my Secret Santa Sistahs over at Scrappers of Color (I hoarded it for a year waiting for the perfect project) and the cross & the metallic "L" came from Hobby Lobby also-Walk around your local craft stores since there are tons of "NON" scrapbooking items that you can use in different ways-that beautiful cross was maybe $ 3???...my mom actually sent me the peacock feathers (SO LOVE THOSE) and the other stuff is from my stash!

And although you can't see the actual water in my pics, we had just finished being in the water...we were at Blue Springs and I just gotta say that the water was freezing cold!! OMG...but so beautiful swimming in natural springs...
brrrr...but after a while, you get used to it....so we hope you'll hop over and be inspired..I have to say that Team A really put it down this time; I couldn't pick a favorite !

I had mentioned earlier in the month that I bought one of the Webster's Pages Warehouse boxes and was not disappointed...I knew that if I didn't start digging in and using it right away that it would sit around so I had a cute little tray that Lynnette had sent me and so I scraplifted this idea from an ad in the May issue of Scrapbook Trends...they didn't say who made it and I can't put my hands on it right now since I'm in the middle of rehauling the whole studio (no lie-see side pic- I cleaned each closet and tote and table and dumped it all on the chair so I can go through each piece like a Hoarder LOL)-am getting ready to donate 25% to a local high school who has a Scrapbook CLub))
anyway, back to the tray...painted it black and ALL products are Webster's Pages with the exception of the pearls (Queen & Co), the Jenni Bowlin yellow butterfly stickers and the leaves (Michaels)-how delish are those trims???
