RAY RICE #27 BALTIMORE RAVENS BABY!

**  Rice joined with Teen Truth Live, a San Diego, Calif.-based anti-bullying group, to host “A Ray of Hope,” a pro-kindness, anti-bullying event held at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Md.  Nearly 4,000 people attended the event, at which Rice spoke about his own personal experiences dealing with bullies....Rice, 25, has emerged as a spokesman for anti-bullying, speaking at several events, including two in Howard County. The running back said he was motivated to speak out after learning of the death of Howard County teen Grace McComas, who committed suicide on Easter Sunday after being the victim of online bullying.

By the time I got back Friday night from seeing this dude, my favorite running back, # 27, it was late, and  I was hot, sweaty and in need of a shower and a drink...we were outside, the event lasted for a few hours (how were they not selling water??)  and it was kinda humid so...no blogging when I got home.  Then, the weekend kinda got away from me with family face time, movie night and house guests so...

I apologize ...so without further ado...the winner of the birthday stamppackage is: PAPERCRAFTING PRINCESS and the winner of the mini SMASH* goodies is: LAURA SCOTT...ladies, send me your snail mail addys to : bluequeen4@hotmail.com    ASAP!  I wanna get goodies bagged up and mailed by Friday since I have other stuff to mail and I'm allergic to the post office :)  Thanks to everyone who played and wished me wonderful birthday messages!

And who knows?  I may not be done since I am celebrating my birthday ALL month :)...there may be other surprise random RAKs up my sleeve :)

AND, I'm currently working my 2nd SMASH book and it's travel themed so I thought I'd share some of my summer travel pages that are still in progress ! I am doing a travel theme but not a specific trip nor am I using any particular embellishments; I'm just using up stash! Some of it is straight up vintage-stash from 3 or 4 years ago...hoarder that I am!

Good morning!  It's a Wonderful (and muggy) Wednesday!!! Sometimes when my mojo is gone, I wonder...is it because I'm harboring too much negative energy??  I decided that the answer is YES!  And so to get rid of Mr. Ugly Mojo-Jojo, I decided to do this:
SMASH BABY!!!  And I am gonna dig up some other supa dupa cool embellishment things that could possibly go in it (or not, your choice)..and so the winner of the SMASH RAK is:  JOJORENEE ...come on down girl and send me your snail mail ASAP to:  bluequeen4@hotmail.com      :):)

and who knows??  I am already thinking that May 23rd (Thing 2's birthday) may be another day to award an  unsuspecting lucky follower another prize...stay tuned....

SIMPLE STORIES THAT IS!  Welcome everybody and TGIF! Simple Stories did a creative thing & let some fun fans (me and some others) join up with their creative  Design Team to bring you their first 2012 blog hop filled with Friday inspiration, some CHA sneak peeks and some really cool creations... R U READY ????

The HOP actually starts at the SIMPLE STORIES blog  (hey Amber!) and so if you started there, you are on the money! You should be popping here via way of DT member Allison Landy's blog; I know she gave you some great inspiration! If you didn't start at the beginning, click on my Simple Stories Blog Hop tab at the top and you'll see all the participants start to finish!

Rather than do a regular layout, I decided to ALSO do an altered project.  The house looked bare after all the Christmas decorations got put away yesterday (don't laugh)!  I had these "junk" pieces that I found at the Goodwill for $ 1 each just sitting in my closet and I finally decided to turn "trash to treasure."
BEFORE: (ADDED SOME BLACK ACRYLIC PAINT AND MIST)
I then added a clothesline type of hanging using a vintage tape measure that belonged to my husband's grandfather and some twines that I found at Ollie's of all places...chose my pic (photoshoot that we did for the Children's Miracle Network since my son used to be one of their sick child ambassadors) and then I dug in the SIMPLE STASH:

I wanted to showcase the Destinations stickers to show that even though it is travel themed, you aren't limited to using them just for travel layouts!

I added in stickers under the tape measure :):)

and tucked some more in the corners

and while the finished piece is quite SIMPLE,but  I like it!    Whaddya think??
TWO THINGS before I go:  1.  Leave some L-O-V-E  here on THIS  blog post (a comment and a way to contact you) so that I can REWARD one of you lucky hoppers with a RAK :) and 2. Make sure you leave a comment on the Simple Stories home blog so that THEY can reward one of you lucky hoppers with a RAK too!   You know what?  Just leave love everywhere, spread the joy!
