Brought to you by Life.Paper.Scrapbook, a blog that's new to me-I've been coming across a whole lotta great challenges with this whole insomnia thing...so, I'm still working with my awesome July Counterfeit Kit since it happened to have all the colors for the LPS colour challenge:
and to think that I've been sitting on these 2 pictures for a whole year; I should be ashamed! Needed that boost to get these scrapped I guess :):) Thanks for looking!

| on of my fav color palettes in general |
and here's my take on it:
My March kit is posted and since the boy went back to school today, errands done early, I got back home in time to play with paper for an hour! Am doing my challenges out of order so I started with the CKCB'S CHALLENGE # 2- there's a hint:
Yup, you guessed it! Vera Bradley! Her eclectic and instantly recognizable mix of color and prints are inspirational....I personally don't have any but maybe in the near future??
I was inspired by the Caroline bag since my kit had teal and yellow in it...the Counterfeit Kit March challenge# 2 is to mix patterns, colors and scales. Use 3 or more patterned papers on your project. Not a problem since I love mixing patterned papers of all manus anywhere, anytime. So that the patterns wouldn't look spastic, I used a white background (something I see that I am liking more and more out of my comfort box) and used slivers of pattern....
Since I have tons of unscrapped vacation photos and not all are scrapworthy, I started tacking em onto the back of layouts here & there...here's the back of the layout with a mini flipbook and more journaling. TFL !
sometimes we get in ruts and need some inspiration...I personally go to Etsy, foodie mags, challenge blogs, Pinterest or scrap mags for inspiration....this week's inspiration comes from the DT at Child's Play Challenges blog-they actually have a few challenges this month and I had all intentions of doing them all BUT... only got one done so far...the TOY challenge is a classic-MR POTATO HEAD !
I was inspired by the yellow and blue combo with just a touch of red....again, I have had this picture that I altered sitting around in an envelope for about a year...pulled it out and went to town with some scraps!
that's us over at Candy Shoppe Designs...like Ally says, we're like those things in the Sour Patch candy commercials where the little patches do something bad but then they're oh so good...Our fearless, no, I should put that in all caps, our FEARLESS leader Lynnette has really put the C in Challenges this month...I can't even really explain....but perhaps a few sneaks will make you want to HOP over and see what" Imma talkin' boud"...I'll just say that our prompts this month are gonna challenge/boost your creativity in more ways than one-perhaps in 3 different ways if you jump in on all 3 challenges...we challenge you and it's ALL IN A GOOD WAY!
Plus, we announce our winner from the December challenges AND, as if that's not enough excitement, we have two new Lollipop Girls added to our DT...so, back to the challenge: I took on the White on White challenge cause for me, I do attend the P.Diddy "all-white" party in "all black!" Folks who know me know I NEVER use white when scrapping if I can help it, to be honest, I don't even own a single piece of white cardstock so this was a tough challenge for me! White on white for the New Year, new start, clarity, coolness....and the fact that that pic of Gwen Stefani rocks!

very difficult-colors were out of my comfort zone-I never use greys or greens like Irish green...but here it is; kinda scanned weird cause of the pencil sketch...kept it simple cause I couldn't find the right embelss; I so hate the simple page, looks empty to me.
challenge...I could not really find hazel...is it brown, brownish-yellow?,
brown-green?? I just stuck with the browns.
